We work with students in all aspects of the career development process, from choosing a major to career changes. Career development is a lifelong process influenced by all aspects of life, with the end result being high quality of life and personal satisfaction.
I chose Shenandoah because of the small size, intensity of the Music Performance program, and because they let me double major in Clarinet Performance and Mathematics. I fell in love with the campus the first time I visited, and I knew that a small school was going to be the right fit for me. I am able to pursue my two main passions!
Being in a small area compared to Richmond, makes me feel that everyone is one family. And, the diversity of the campus has made me feel like I am not alone. I have already made such great memories and friends, I would not change it for anything.
I chose Shenandoah because of the guaranteed admit Physical Therapy program. As an avid backpacker and hiker, I love how close campus is to Shenandoah National Park, Harpers Ferry and the Appalachian Trail. I work with SOAR as part of the work study program. I also get to work study with the Shenandoah Outdoor and Adventure Recreation program here.
Shenandoah was the most proactive about helping me with my disability, and it opens doors for me daily that I have the choice to step through. I chose Shenandoah because it had challenge, adventure and promise waiting for me. The charm and hospitality here reeled me in faster than I could say "Yes."
I got a chance to study in the U.S. and had earned an Associate Degree in Science. After learning about all of the subjects, I finally chose to become an accountant. Shenandoah is special because of knowledgeable and helpful professors and welcoming assistants. I like the approach this university takes to my courses.
